Title: Hiding pheromone smells
Post by: revird on Aug 26, 2024, 08:25 AM
Greetings!

So I have used Alpha Dream's Certo and V2 for months but more recently my girlfriend found out (I didn't deny it ofc) and she's told me that she doesn't like their smell. She has even gone as far as telling me to stop using them when with her.
I am using unscented versions.

But admittedly I'd still like to use them sometimes, so does anyone have good advice on how to hide them? ::)  Or should I stop using them altogether? :-\
Ofc I have tried the most obvious option to use my eau de toilette recently to hide the mones' smells but I'm not sure if it does the trick every time...and not sure how efficiently I can use it tbh.

Hmm, it seems no one here has any similar experience :(

It sucks, most people can't smell mones but the ones that can get repulsed by them.

Alpha Dreams bottles are some of the best. They actually look like genuine cologne bottles compared to most cheap plastic ones that scream pheromones on the label.

So you didn't tell her they were just cologne bottles?

Nah, I didn't. The bottles are nice indeed but it does say 'parfum de pheromone' on the label, so it was obvious too.
And she's even said that my pheromone smells are in her hair after she's washed it and she struggles to get rid of them! Tbh it doesn't make sense but what can I do :-\
Out of interest I also let her compare, which one smells worse to her and it's V2 but she doesn't like either at all. So I've tried to use them much less if at all as I don't wanna ruin her mood nor make her angry :(

You could always sell them on the trading post and try something different

Tbf selling quality products that work and are very difficult if not impossible to get hold of these days wouldn't be clever, so not considering that.

She might just be sensitive to the smell of enone. You could try getting some single molecules and see if they effect her the same way. Also, certain blends such as nude and SXD9 are not quite scentless, but are pretty close.

In my observation some ethnic group are more or less sensitive to pheromones. But it also differs person to person.

Quote from: Mr Level1 on Sep 20, 2024, 08:36 AMI smell Androstenone, Androstadienone and Copulins quite clearly. All others don't have that obvious scents to me. (Some do have some scent, but not that blatant.)

I think those three are also the hardest to wash off.

Of course I don't know if this is the same for everybody, but maybe helpful to share my experience.

I am about to write a new journal post about the smell. Its being quite the issue here

It's mainly an issue if you don't want to use a lot of cover scent. I mean, when you use 1 Million as cover scent (or a scent that has a similar strength) you can cover up the most of the smell of pheromones. Though, this might be suitable for some people, when they hot the clubs or bars, it's not for everyone and every situation.

I don't like to use lots of perfume and I don't like strong scents, so I have other ways to deal with the smell of the mones.

1) Apply in time. Preferably 30-60 minutes before you expose the world. The pheromones can settle on your skin. Their smell fades a bit.

2) Use other scents. I have made several cover scents myself. One is quite citrussy, with Neroli as center scent. (Like Androtics Direct products use to have as main cover scent.) somehow the sharpness of the citrus does cover the pheromone smell quite well. One other cover I made is an alcohol spray, with some quality Patchouli oil. It's for those days that I will meet a lot of alternative people. Or when I want to feel like a hippie. There was a reason that the hippies used Patchouli as a cover scent for their unwashed bodies... It works well.

3) Own it. Own the smell of the pheromones. Just act to anyone as if your supposed to smell like this. Like you have to live up to the image your projecting with your phero cloud.

Let's hope other people have other suggestions to wear pheromones without very heavy cover scents.

Well, i bareboned the mones first time. Thought the covet scent they came in would be enough. Today i applied my own perfume as cover scent which helped immensely.

Still figuring things out and logging them in my journal as i go. Hope it helps other people as well.

Thanks for advice! I'm using Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gio eau de toilette myself, maybe it's not strong enough   :-\

I will try to apply earlier in the future but I don't think that helps in my case, it seems she can still notice it hours later...

Maybe I should consider trying other perfumes/colognes/eau de toilettes as well, it's just that Gio is the only one I have here, I am not a big perfume user...

Mine noticed the taboo i sprayed on 3 days ago. in the meantime we went to a sauna, gym and showered and swam multiple times.  that shit is notorious to wash off. (even at 1 spray)

OR

she is getting pregnant and her smell has increased..

Thanks for advice Mr Level1!
I have actually tried to spray the mones in less noticeable areas like on my chest instead of neck and wrists that I often used before. Haven't exactly tried on leg or shoe tho, not sure if it would have any effect there.
Also I bought new fragrance recently, it's David Beckham's eau de parfum Refined Woods, so it should be stronger than my Acqua di Gio, which is eau de toilette, tho not as strong as perfume but tbh I don't like very strong scents, so hopefully it will do the trick...

When it comes to my girl's cycle then yes, maybe she is more sensitive to smells at certain stages as her period affects her strongly otherwise.

But I defo won't risk without cover scent for now as I don't wanna infuriate her. Also, these days I try to use the mones somewhat less and in smaller amounts than I used to.
