The odors of various single molecules

I'm trying to find out what each of the single molecules smell like, at least to people who can smell them.

Googling around this is what I've come up with.   Can anyone verify?   Does this look remotely correct?  I'll update this post as I get more info.


Androstadienone - smells of BO to some

AndrostENone - smells of strong urine to some women

AndrostANone - very light musky smell

AndrostERone - no smell?

EpiandrostERone - ?

AndrostERone sulfate - ?

Alpha-AndrostEnol - musk-like (though LPMP says their Nol blends have little smell)

Beta-AndrostEnol - musty/sweet vanilla?

Beta-AndrostAnol - ?

AndrostENETRIone - ?, presumably low odor as this is probably the beautifier in Nude

androstAtrione - ?

DHEA/dehydroepiandrosterone - unknown, MDS sheets say "Characteristic" and "Aromatic", maybe "rotten fish"?

DHEAS - ?

EpiAlloPregNANolone - ?

Neither DHEA nor pregnenolone have a smell in any concentration that we would use.

I do remember one of the moderators on the old Androtics forum about 15 years ago (her name was tisha) saying that she found their product Instant Openness which was basically alpha androstenol to smell like bad foot odour.
