Glad to see this forum back, but was sad to hear the news of Mark-in-Dallas's passing, may he rest in peace!

I took a long sabbatical from mines while I was in an LTR, but back in the game now.

Some of the mones I have repurchased I am fairly certain have been reformulated (which is sad, but has always been the case in pheroland), but I'm excited to try what else is out there now.

Yes, Mark passed early in 2023 with barely anyone clued in until his site went dark. Once discussion started I had the idea to bring the site back online, but when his server went away so did any chance of a database recovery. Myself, along with TracerX, did the work to bring up PheroTruth.net (since the original domain wouldn't expire for some time). I provided a server and sprung for the domain name and Tracer did a good part of the heavy lifting as I was recovering from some minor surgery.

I was saddened to hear about Mark's passing but I had learned so much from everyone on his site I felt compelled to keep his mission alive.

First I would like to say that I'm also very saddened to learn about Mark's passing. May his Soul Rest In Eternal Peace! Mark-in-Dallas was the founder/owner of the original PT website, and I'm forever grateful for the contribution he made to the phero world; bringing forward a platform where we can all enjoy the free and open discussion of such topics, in a time when heavy limitations and censorship was the norm.

Second, I would like to thank both Johnny Fever and TracerX for taking the duty to carry on the PheroTruth legacy.  I am a veteran of the original PT forum, and also wanted to let you know that I took the liberty of keeping a copy of the (most important) review posts made on the majority of the products that were listed on the forum. This is something I started doing since around 2013 if I remember correctly, just because I wanted to keep a collection of the most valuable reviews for each product, free and clear from all the nonsense posted by some members/trolls. And now that the original posts are gone (unfortunately), I can see how much more value there is to have such a vast collection of reviews... :) :D  ;D

Most of the posts have been "curated" by me, meaning that I took the time and liberty to correct the spelling, grammar, sentence fragments, run-on sentences, syntax errors, etc., for better clarity. If time allows, and you would also like to receive copies to post them yourself in the corresponding product thread, I'll be more than happy to send them to you and contribute in the further development of PT.

avatar_DssMaster Thanks for the kind words, both on behalf of the departed as well as recognizing my and Tracer's efforts in keeping Mark's mission alive. I'm hoping over time we can make the new site just as valuable as the original.

As far as your retained posts, perhaps you can post them in relevant discussions or maybe even they'd inspire new discussions here.

I'm trying to recall, did you have a journal on the original site?

You know I never mentioned my view on Mark's passing.  He was a good guy and a great moderator of the old PT 1.0.

When I hear he passed I don't like to think of it.

In the last 2 years I lost both my mom and dad, and my two cousins (who were only in their early 50's), broke  my leg and needed leg surgery and may possibily have prostrate cancer that I won't be aware of until another 3-4 weeks.

You can imagine if I thought about death a lot how depressing my life would be.

I've been in the monebiz since age 27 (Over 30 years), made lots of friends.  Some of my best friends in my life are actually online here.  It's quite interesting to say the least.

Johnny Fever is doing an impressive job alongside TracerX bringing this forum back to it's almighty glory.  Ok , maybe the "glory days " are gone as Springsteen would sing, but I believe the future holds more promise than the past if you keep looking ahead.  And no matter what don't look back.  There's nothing left there except fond memories.

A couple of years ago a professional work colleague unexpectedly passed away less than a week before Christmas. I was utterly devastated. One never knows just how long we have on the big blue marble and we shouldn't take anything for granted.

We should all remember to live our lives to the fullest. I'm not privy to all the details about Mark and what ultimately lead to his demise but I feel honored to keep his mission alive. We can all come together to share a common interest and not only learn from one another but to continue to improve with the collective knowledge we've shared.

You're most welcome. I replied to a PM from TracerX regarding the saved up posts. Hopefully we can find a way to integrate them into the new forum, perhaps with a reference to each one, so everyone knows they are from the original PT 1.0. And no, I never had a journal, for I wanted my posts to be readily available for everyone to see/read on each corresponding product's thread.

I've also taken the time to reach out to a couple of PT veterans, at least the ones I can find old email messages over the last couple of years. And I'd like to ask other vet members to do the same and reach out to others that may not be aware of the PT 2.0 launch. And preferably sign up with their original screen name for easier recognition. I would like to reach out to Snoopyace and Gladen, but so far I haven't found any old email correspondences from them. I hope that someone does and get in contact with them, as I'd like to see them join, for they have contributed so much over the years with their extensive phero experiences.

P.S. I like how you guys made the new PT 2.0 look as close as possible as the original PT 1.0.  :)

Too bad about Mark. Anybody know his last name?

I thought I saw a post on the old ptruth where Mark handed everything over to Gladen.

Mark had handed administrative duties of the old form over to Gladen, but I believe Mark still held control of the actual server that both his personal site and PT 1.0 was on. I'm sad that we weren't able to acquire the database from the old site, as it would've been great to include all the old contents here as well.

    Mark's last name was Weber.

So he was a former Formula 1 driver?

Though I think the former F1 driver may have had a double b in his surname.

If he died in May of 2023, this is him:

The old site had a gold mine of info that can't be replaced. Sad to see it lost.
